The RGB format is mainly related to Corel's PaintShop. The RGB filename extension is associated with color images saved in the Silicon Graphics Image bitmap file format distributed as part of a library found on Silicon Graphics workstations. The RGB file supports 3 color channels, and the graphic data can be either encoded or uncompressed.
