Postgresql authorization - listen_addresses

Colleagues hello to all.

In today's article, we will talk about such an important thing as  listen_addresses in PostgreSQL. The  listen_addresses parameter is responsible for authentication to the database.

After installing the PostgreSQL DBMS, you may experience authorization problems.

postgresql_lister_address

This issue occurs because the listen_addresses setting is set to localhost in the postgresql.conf file. This means that authorization to the database is allowed only for local server users.

To solve this problem, you should change the values of localhost to an asterisk, this will mean that authorization to the database will be allowed for both local users and external clients.
